Ms. Elke Badde is State Secretary for Health and Consumer Protection of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg since 2011.
State Secretary Baade was born in 1959 in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. She graduated from high school in 1978. After she has successfully studied law, she held different jobs in the government of the federal state Hamburg. From 2004 to 2008 she was Member of the District Assembly Hamburg-Wandsbek. And from 2008 to 2011 she was Member of the Hamburg Parliament and spokeswoman for labor market policy of the Social Democratic parliamentary group.

In 2011 Ms. Badde became a member of the Hamburg government as State Secretary for Health and Consumer Protection, since 2015 she is also State Secretary for the Districts at the Hamburg Ministry of Finance.
